The Sorra is a 26 km long river in Italy in the Tuscany region . It passes through the province of Siena from Siena to the southeast.
course
The Sorra rises in the south-western municipality of Siena a few meters northeast of the district of Sant'Andrea a Montecchio (273 meters above sea level) near Costafabbri and Costalpino . From here it passes the place Ginestreto , stretches to the southeast and crosses Strada Statale 223 di Paganico . In the municipality of Siena, the river lingers for a total of 9 km and then enters that of Monteroni d'Arbia, where it spends a total of 17 km. South of the center of Monteroni d'Arbia, the Sorra flows south and parallel to the Via Cassia (state road SS 2, here coincides with the Via Francigena ), flows under the Siena-Grosseto railway line and flows under Ponte d'Arbia (municipality of Monteroni d'Arbia , 151 meters above sea level) as a right tributary into the Arbia . Here he also briefly touches the municipality of Buonconvento .
