The South West Region is a region of the Australian state of Western Australia (Western Australia).

The South West Region is located in the southwest corner of the state of Western Australia. It borders the Indian Ocean to the south and west and covers an area of 23,970 square kilometers.
The region has a diverse landscape, with extensive coastlines, forests, wine-growing areas and country towns. In 2011, the population in this region was 166,000 (2004: 123,000, 2006: 142,999).
The South West Region has extensive mineral deposits ( aluminum and mineral sand ). The economy is also based on extensive agriculture, horticulture, wood and forest products, retail and tourism. The port of Bunbury is an important export link for the region. An expansion of the port facilities is planned.
