Undergraduate Texts in Mathematics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Undergraduate Texts in Mathematics is a series of introductory mathematics textbooks from Springer Verlag . In addition, the same publisher has the more advanced series Graduate Texts in Mathematics , but the levels often overlap. The first volume appeared in 1974. The editors at that time were Paul R. Halmos (himself known for his outstanding textbooks) and Frederick W. Gehring .

Editors are Sheldon Axler and Kenneth Ribet (2016).

There is also the Springer Undergraduate Texts in Mathematics and Technology (SUMAT).
