The SsangYong Kyron is a medium-sized sport utility vehicle from the South Korean car manufacturer SsangYong . It has a diesel engine with parts from Mercedes-Benz with an output of 104 kW and a torque of 310 Nm. Its appearance was designed by MG designer Ken Greenley.

The Kyron has been around since 2007 with the robust XDi270 diesel engine, which gives it an output of 121 kW and a torque of 340 Nm. Both engines, the XDi200 and the XDi270, are third-generation common rail diesel engines. The complex direct injection system ensures performance and low diesel consumption, which also reduces emissions. This third generation of common rail injection works on a 32-bit platform and not on the 16-bit platform of the 2nd generation.

The Kyron has exceeded sales expectations. He is also successful in Europe, especially in Italy. In China, the model is built in a modified form as the Roewe W5 .
