The SsangYong XLV is an SUV from the SsangYong Motor Company . It is based on the SsangYong Tivoli , but is 24 centimeters longer and 1.5 centimeters higher. Since the increase in length fully benefits the trunk, the XLV has the same wheelbase as the Tivoli.

history

The SUV was presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 and went on sale in June 2016. The name of the vehicle stands for e X citing smart L ifestyle V ehicle . At the International Motor Show in September 2015 in Frankfurt am Main , SsangYong showed the XLV-Air Concept, a preview of a long version of the Tivoli.

In Germany, in contrast to the Tivoli, the XLV can no longer be ordered since September 2019.

safety

In 2016, the SsangYong XLV was tested for vehicle safety by Euro NCAP . In the basic version, the XLV received three out of five possible stars. However, since a safety package is optionally available for the model, the XLV was also tested with the safety package. In this test, it received four out of five stars.

Technical specifications

The XLV is powered by the engines familiar from the Tivoli: a 1.6-liter petrol engine with 94 kW (128 hp) and an 85 kW (115 hp) diesel engine , also with a displacement of 1.6 liters. Both variants are built with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive. The vehicle is available for market launch from 16,990 euros.
