The SsangYong Tivoli is a compact SUV from the SsangYong Motor Company . It is the manufacturer's first new vehicle since it was acquired by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited . The name of the vehicle is derived from the Italian city of Tivoli in the metropolitan city of Rome .

history

The Tivoli took three years to develop. The car has been sold in South Korea since January 2015. The launch on the German market took place in June 2015. In 2019 a revised version of the Tivoli went on sale.

The SsangYong XLV went on sale in June 2016 . This is based on the Tivoli, but is 24 centimeters longer and 1.5 centimeters higher.

The vehicle has been sold on the Indian market as the Mahindra XUV 300 since February 2019 . There it is positioned below the Mahindra XUV 500 .

safety

In 2016, the SsangYong Tivoli was tested for vehicle safety by Euro NCAP . In the basic version, the Tivoli received three out of five possible stars. However, since a security package is optionally available for the model, the Tivoli was also tested with the security package. In this test, it received four out of five stars.
