Stormy in love is a German comedy film and a love story by director Josh Broecker from 2005. Jana Pallaske plays the leading role as the meteorologist Patrizia.

If there is something the world still needs, it is finally a reliable formula to make a reliable weather forecast possible, thought the meteorologist Patrizia, and has taken the trouble to develop one. Soon the greedy, unsuccessful insurance agent Robert Berndssen becomes aware of this formula; he hopes to get the formula free of charge from Patrizia, and that her invention will then make him rich.

But his employer Hans Breuer and a TV broadcaster with its weather program are also very interested in the new calculation method. With all the hype about her person, Patrizia, who actually lives and works alone, is increasingly overwhelmed. Mentally, she gets into ever greater difficulties, also against the background that she is in love for the first time in her life. So Patrizia finally realizes that her formula may predict the climate, but no mood swings.

First broadcast and different film titles

Stormy in love was first broadcast on April 21, 2005 on Pro7 . In Hungary the first broadcast was on October 22, 2007, there under the title Viharfelhők a szerelem kék egén . The film was released in Finland on July 14, 2011, there under the title Rakkautta myötä- ja vastatuulessa . The French title of the production is La tête dans les nuages , the international title is Perfect Weather for Love .

Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach judges: "The sympathetic story, the original theme and an unusual female main character make" Stormy in love "a romantic comedy in which it doesn't bother you that you have seen the pattern a thousand times [...]". The conclusion of the film critic is: "Original story, dense script, convincing actors".

TV Spielfilm is of the opinion that "[...] Pallaske and Knižka [provide] for a relaxed, summery emotional weather situation". The final sentence of the program guide reads: "Airy, light feel-good romance".
