St. Anthony the Hermit is a profane Roman Catholic chapel in Blankenheimer district pipe in the district of Euskirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The chapel was consecrated to St. Anthony the Great and is registered as a monument under number 137 in the list of architectural monuments in Blankenheim (Ahr) .

history

The late Gothic chapel was built in 1542 and mentioned in 1580. In 1737 it was called the Wendelinus Chapel. This patronage was transferred to the new Rohrer parish church St. Wendelin in 1864 and half of the chapel was put down and then used as a storage room.

The rest of the chapel is 4.80 m wide and tapers to the east. The building is 10.50 m long with the choir closed on three sides. A Gothic, pointed arched three-pass window has been preserved in the north wall. The building serves as a residential building.
