description

The hall church , built from rubble stones between 1756 and 1764, has a roof tower in the west and a choir in the east , which is closed on three sides . The western facade, made up of three axes, consists of ashlar masonry . In the central axis there is a profiled, drilled portal with a cantilevered cornice , above it a round arched wall niche framed by volutes with a stone statue of Christ Salvator and a curved cornice.

The roof tower rises two floors above the eaves . It is framed by pilasters at the corners , the side sloping roofs are covered with volute gables . In the belfry behind the sound arcades top storey has hung since 1924 four church bells , which were in 1959 replaced by new ones and 1979 replaced by bronze bells. The tower was only covered with slate in 1979. It consists of a curved hood on which a two-story lantern sits, crowned with a tower ball and weather valve .

The long sides of the nave are divided by pilasters. The interior is spanned by a groin vault, the belt arches of which rest on double pilasters. The high altar from 1781 is flanked by confessionals and side altars.

The organ with 20 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built by Wiegand Helferbein around 1930 and restored by Karl Brode & Sohn in 1996.
