description

The Romanesque hall church with its choir tower was structurally redesigned in the 17th century. A rectangular annex was added to the east to make room for the patron's box with slug panes . For this purpose, the former conche had to be removed. The bell tower has a slate-roofed tower, behind whose sound arcades the belfry is located. There hangs a church bell that was cast in 1487, the second place in the belfry is empty. On top of it sits a bulbous hood that turns into an open lantern . The interior , covered with a wooden beam ceiling , has single-storey galleries , the parapets of which are painted with baroque ornaments . In the choir , between the two arches on which the tower stands, is the altar . The pulpit stands at the side in front of the nave's choir arch , above it is the sound cover , which is crowned with volutes . The organ on the gallery in the west has 7 registers , divided into a manual and a pedal . It was built around 1800 by an unknown organ builder and restored in 1968 by Reinhard Schmeisser .
