description

The three-aisled hall church has a transept and a polygonal choir with a 5/8 end. It was built in 1878 by Conrad Wilhelm Hase in neo-Gothic forms, mostly from masonry bricks . The lower floors of the church tower in the east come from the previous building from the 13th century. They are built from plastered rubble stones . The storey above consists of a slate framework with round arched sound arcades . In it is the belfry . The tower is covered with a pointed helmet and four so-called Flemish side towers.

The interior is covered with ribbed vaults. There are galleries on three sides. The late Gothic carved winged altar dates from the 15th century. The center of the shrine shows the crucifixion of Christ , on the left you can see Christ carrying the cross and Christ before Pontius Pilate , on the right the resurrection and the burial of Christ . The left wing depicts Christ's undressing, Christ as a gardener, Christ in Limbo and the Descent from the Cross . The right wing shows the flagellation of Christ and the crowning of thorns, as well as the Mount of Olives and the betrayal of Judas . The back walls of the side wings are painted with the entry of Christ into Jerusalem and the martyrdom of a saint. Since the restoration in 1878 there are numerous new ingredients, e.g. B. Crowning the altar. A painting depicting Mary is from 1615.

The organ with 23 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1878 by Emil Reubke.
