Sankt Oswald is a cadastral community of Eberstein and a village on the western slope of the Saualpe in the Görtschitztal in Carinthia . The place is 1020 meters above sea level and has 133 inhabitants (as of 2001).

In the south, the eye of the beholder sees the fortified church of Hochfeistritz , further to the right the southern Görtschitztal with the castle in the market town of Eberstein and in a westerly direction the ruins of Hornburg protrude from the wooded mountain peak.
Parish Church of Saint Oswald
The single-nave building with a late Gothic choir was first mentioned in a document in 1369. Restorations took place in 1880, 1929 and 2000.
Former elementary school
Sankt Oswald number 15 . The single-storey wooden structure erected in 1893 stands over a wall base and was designed by Michael Wank. There was teaching there for 90 years (1895 to 1985) and in 1995 the dark brown wooden house was adapted.
Gillitzstein ruins
The Gillitzstein ruins are located on a slope north of Eberstein towards Sankt Oswald. The remains of a small, predominantly modern castle can be seen over a rectangular floor plan. It was the trade headquarters of the Gillitzstein raft furnace and blast furnace company .

The cross from the end of the 18th century can be found at vulgo Matschnig.
