Immenrode, St. Trinitatis

The Evangelical Lutheran parish church of St. Trinitatis is in Immenrode , a district of the district town of Sondershausen in the Kyffhäuserkreis of Thuringia . The parish Immenrode belongs to the parish area Holzthaleben the parish Ebeleben-Holzthaleben in the parish of Bad Frankenhausen Sondershausen the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The hall church in neo-Romanesque forms was built from 1874 to 1876 after a fire the baroque had destroyed predecessor. In the west there is a three-story church tower on a square floor plan . It has an octagonal attachment with a pointed helmet . The interior is covered with a wooden barrel vault and has two-story galleries on three sides . The uniform church furnishings come from the construction time. The winged altar , created around 1520, comes from the former chapel of Straussberg Castle , has been relocated. The shrine in its center has the carved figure of an image of the Virgin , surrounded by Saints Elisabeth and Barbara . The side wings were retrospectively painted in 1582.

The organ with 20 registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal , was built in the 19th century by an unknown organ builder .
