The Finnish state road 28 ( Finnish. Valtatie 28 , Swedish. Riksväg 28 ) begins in Kokkola (Swedish: Karleby) and leads to Kajaani . The road is 246 kilometers long.

Route

State road 28 branches off just north of Kokkola on the Gulf of Bothnia from State road 8 (also European road 8 ) and runs east-northeast via Nivala , where it crosses state road 27 , and on via Kärsämäki , where state road 4 (also European route 75) crosses is, according to Kajaani, united in its last section with State Road 5 (also European Road 63 ).
