State road 8

The Finnish State Road 8 ( Finnish. Valtatie 8 , Swedish. Riksväg 8 ) leads from Turku (Swedish: Åbo) in a north to north-east direction roughly parallel to the east bank of the Gulf of Bothnia to Liminka around 25 kilometers south of Oulu , where it joins the state road 4 meets and ends at this. The road is 626 kilometers long and forms the southern Finnish section of European route 8 , which leads to Tromsø in Norway . North of Turku and near Vaasa, short sections of the motorway have been developed.
