The Finnish state road 2 ( Finnish. Valtatie 2 , Swedish. Riksväg 2 ) leads from Vihti in Uusimaa, about 50 kilometers northwest of the capital Helsinki , to the town of Pori (Swedish: Björneborg) on ​​the Gulf of Bothnia . Except for two short four-lane sections, the road, the length of which is 227 kilometers, is two-lane and sometimes three-lane.

Route

The 2 leads from Vihti in a north-westerly direction via Karkkila , Forssa , Humppila , Huittinen , Kokemäki , Harjavalta and Ulvila to Pori.

The southern part of the 2 in Vihti was rebuilt in the 1970s, branching off from the 1, which was developed as a motorway from Helsinki , and crosses the 25 . The old 2 , coming from Helsinki, has been downgraded to regional route 120 .
