Bishop Claudio Stagni

Claudio Stagni (born June 9, 1939 in Ganzanigo, Medicina parish ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus bishop of Faenza-Modigliana .

The Archbishop of Bologna , Cardinal Giacomo Lercaro , ordained him a priest on July 25, 1963 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Bologna and titular bishop of Dardanus on December 6, 1990 . The Archbishop of Bologna , Giacomo Cardinal Biffi , gave him episcopal consecration on January 13 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Vincenzo Zarri , Bishop of Forlì-Bertinoro , and Benito Cocchi , Bishop of Parma-Fontevivo .

His motto is Haurietis aquas in gaudio . He was appointed Bishop of Faenza-Modigliana on April 26, 2004, and was introduced to the office on May 30 of the same year.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on January 19, 2015.
