Alt Kuttendorf (Polish: Stare Kotkowice ) is a village in Upper Silesia . Alt Kuttendorf is located in the municipality of Oberglogau ( Głogówek ) in the Powiat Prudnicki (Neustadt OS district) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Alt Kuttendorf is three kilometers east of the municipality of Oberglogau , 24 kilometers east of the district town of Prudnik (Neustadt OS) and 37 kilometers south of the voivodship capital Opole (Opole).

history
The place was first mentioned in the 13th century, in connection with a mention of the Czarnowanz monastery. In a document from Bolko dated March 27, 1430 from the possession of the Czarnowanz monastery , the place is mentioned with the spellings Kotchendurff, Cotchendurff and Cotkendurff. After a Vorwerk was laid out north of Kuttendorf in the 19th century and was named Neu Kuttendorf , the place was henceforth called Alt Kuttendorf. In 1847 or 1850 a new church building was built. In 1865 the place had 13 farmers, 13 gardeners and 15 cottagers. At this point in time, the students were enrolled in Friedersdorf.
In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 255 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 20 for Poland, in the Alt Kuttendorf estate 48 people voted for Germany and no one for Poland. Alt Kuttendorf remained with the German Empire . In 1933 there were 557 inhabitants. In 1939 the place had 542 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Neustadt OS
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Stare Kotkowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 it has belonged to the powiat Prudnicki . On April 22, 2009 , German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality of Oberglogau , which Alt Kuttendorf belongs to. On December 1, 2009, the place was also given the official German place name Alt Kuttendorf .
