Rosnochau , in Polish Rozkochów , is a village in Upper Silesia . Rosnochau is located in the municipality of Walzen in the powiat Krapkowicki in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Rosnochau is five kilometers west of the municipality of Walzen , eleven kilometers south of the district town of Krapkowice (Krappitz) and 34 kilometers south of the voivodeship capital Opole .
history
Rosnochau was first mentioned in a document in 1264. The first school was built in 1767. In 1862 the place had 350 inhabitants.
In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 375 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 21 for Poland. In the Rosnochau manor district, 88 people voted for Germany and two for Poland. Rosnochau remained with the German Empire . In 1933 there were 834 inhabitants. On October 10, 1936, the place was renamed Roßweide . In 1939 the place had 858 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Neustadt OS
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Rozkochów and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Krapkowicki . On April 4, 2006 , German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality of Walzen , which Rosnochau belongs to, and on June 3, 2009, the place was also given the official German place name Rosnochau .
