Broschütz , in Polish Brożec , is a village in Poland . Broschütz is located in the municipality of Walzen , Powiat Krapkowicki in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Geographical location
Broschütz is located in historic Upper Silesia , about six kilometers north of the municipality of Walce (Walzen), six kilometers south of the district town of Krapkowice (Krappitz) and 29 kilometers south of the voivodeship capital Opole (Opole).

history
Broschütz was first mentioned in a document in 1228.
In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 533 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 29 for Poland. Brochuetz remained with the German Reich . In 1933 there were 887 inhabitants. On August 18, 1936, the place was renamed Schobersfelde . In 1939 the place had 886 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Neustadt OS
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Brożec and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Krapkowicki . On April 4, 2006, German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality of Walzen, which Broschütz belongs to, and on June 3, 2009, the place was also given the official German place name Broschütz .
