Stefanskirchen is a parish village and part of the municipality of Ampfing in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn and a district .
It is located on the district road MÜ 25 about five kilometers northwest of Ampfing south above the valley of the Stengerbach .
history
The former community of Stephanskirchen was founded in 1818 with the Bavarian community edict. The place and community name was changed to Stefanskirchen between 1950 and 1961 . In 1961 the municipality had an area of 1102.13 hectares and 29 places. 494 inhabitants lived in 102 residential buildings. At that time, the parish village of Stefanskirchen had 30 residential buildings and 160 residents. It was incorporated into Ampfing on January 1, 1972.

Attractions
The Catholic parish church St. Stephanus in Stefanskirchen is an originally Gothic church ( following a Romanesque predecessor). It was baroque in the 18th century , expanded in 1882–1887 and redesigned (regotified) in the neo-Gothic style. The last measure determines the appearance to this day.
