Steffan Biffiger (actually Stefan Biffiger ; born May 27, 1952 ; legal resident in Naters ) is a Swiss art historian and art critic .

Steffan Biffiger studied art history and German literature at the University of Freiburg (Switzerland). He worked as an editor, then as director at the Society for Swiss Art History , and later as editor-in - chief at Benteli-Verlag in Bern. Since 2000, Biffiger has been self-employed in the areas of art education , art book production and exhibitions . He is the author of artist monographs on Ernst Morgenthaler , Werner Hartmann , Serge Brignoni , Bruno Wurster , Albert Chavaz , Roman Tschabold , Ludwig Werlen , Martin Peter Flück , Urs-Peter Twellmann , Jakob Jenzer , Roland Muri , Stefan Haenni , Tarcisi Cadalbert and others. a.

Biffiger lives in Wohlen near Bern .
