Stephanie Brungs
Stephanie "Steffi" Brungs (born January 10, 1989 in Siegburg ) is a German sports journalist and presenter .
Life
Brungs - whose father is German and whose mother is Filipino - graduated from high school at the Ursuline School in Hersel near Bonn in 2008 . She then began studying journalism with a specialization in sports journalism at the Macromedia University of Media and Communication in Cologne . In 2012 she graduated there with a Bachelor of Arts .
Private
Since August 2019 Brungs is with the Sat.1 breakfast television presenter Christian Wackert married.
Career
Brungs took up his first journalistic activities during his studies. From 2008 to 2009 she worked as a reporter for the web TV of the Kölner Express . There she mainly dealt with sports and music for a youth trend format. In the same year she became the presenter of the tennis news and the morning show Wake up on the internet broadcaster Tennislive TV (today spobox.tv), where she stayed for a year. In 2009 she also started working as a student assistant at RTL . There, after a few months, she became the new presenter of the web TV formats on RTL.de in the entertainment and sports area, where she worked as a freelancer until July 2013.
From 2010 to 2011 Brungs hosted a youth format with a colleague on the local station center.tv . In 2011 she moderated the John Lennon Talent Award (JLTA) together with Marcel Schmitt. She completed u. a. editorial internships at RTL aktuell , n-tv Sport , Spiegel TV , at Kicker web TV and most recently at Sport1 in 2011 .
Brungs has been a moderator for Sport1 since October 2011. Here she was co-host of the daily magazine Bundesliga aktuell until May 2013 , where she reported on trends and reactions from the Internet before the program was restructured as part of “Agenda 2013” at Sport1. Her job as the presenter of Sport1 News also ended in July 2013. From August 2013 to January 2014, she co-presented the soccer talk show Mittendrin and as a presenter on the digital sports radio Sport1.FM . From August 2013 to 2015 she presented the web show for the UEFA Champions League and the DFB Cup for Sport1 and, from 2014 to 2015, the highlights from the Turkish football league in the show Süper Lig .
In 2013, Brungs hosted the quiz Sieg or fly on Sport1, alternating with Tobias Schimon . In February 2015, she presented RTL II News for the first time . Since November 2018 she has appeared as a “society expert” on RTL breakfast television Guten Morgen Deutschland .
