The Stellberg is a 727.4 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Rhön in Hesse ( Germany ). It rises east of Wolferts , a district of Dipperz and south of Kleinsassen , a district of Hofbieber . The neighboring mountains are the Maulkuppe in the south and the Milseburg in the east, from which it is separated by the valley of the upper beavers . In terms of nature , the Stellberg belongs to the Milseburger Kuppenrhön . Its lower slopes are partially wooded. There are also meadows of the courtyards Vorderstellberg on the northwest side or Hinterstellberg on the east side and Giegenberg in the south. The wooded summit area is a nature reserve with some block heaps . The area is accessible to tourists with hiking trails of the Rhön Club . From the summit, the view extends above a block dump far to the west to the Vogelsberg and, with good visibility , to the Taunus .
