Stephan Genzmer

Stephan Genzmer (born September 2, 1849 in Marienwerder ; † 1927 ) was a German judge and administrative lawyer in the Kingdom of Prussia .

Life

Genzmer attended the Marienwerder high school and passed the Abitur examination on August 22, 1867. He began to study law at the Friedrichs University in Halle . From the winter semester 1867/68 to the summer semester 1869 he was active in the Corps Normannia-Halle . As an inactive he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin . As a one-year volunteer with the 3rd Guards Regiment on foot , he went to the Franco-German War . From June 1872 he was a trainee lawyer in Marienwerder. On September 16, 1873 he came to the 7th East Prussian Infantry Regiment No. 44 as a Second Lieutenant in the reserve . Since January 20, 1877 he was a court assessor and since February 14, 1877 assistant public prosecutor at the Marienburg district court. On May 23, 1879, he became a public prosecutor at the Elbing district court , and on September 20, 1880 at the Marienwerder regional court . Since May 10, 1884 Prime Lieutenant of the Landwehr , he was appointed District Administrator in the Marienwerder district on August 24, 1886 . After six years he switched to the administration of justice and on August 9, 1892 became the administrative court director in Marienwerder. On May 2, 1894, he was appointed to the Prussian Higher Administrative Court in Berlin as a senior administrative judge. He later became President of the Senate .

Genzmer was the older brother of Alfred Genzmer . He was married and had three children, including Felix Genzmer and Erich Genzmer .
