Alfred Genzmer

Alfred Genzmer (born April 19, 1851 in Marienwerder ; † December 8, 1912 in Halle (Saale) ) was a German surgeon and university professor. He was the younger brother of Stephan Genzmer .

Life

Genzmer initially received private lessons and later attended the Marienwerder grammar school . In 1868 he began to study medicine at the Friedrichs University in Halle . In 1869 he was in the Corps Normannia Hall recipiert . Meanwhile, at the University of Königsberg and the University of Leipzig , he was 1873 in hall to Dr. med. PhD . Approved in 1874 , he took up an assistant position at the University Surgical Clinic under Richard von Volkmann . 1878 habilitation he opts for surgery . A little later he moved to the Diakonissenhaus Halle , but continued teaching and scientific work. In 1884 he was appointed associate professor . 1887 declined Genzmer a call to the University of Groningen from. In 1894 he became chief physician of the deaconess house. He died shortly after his release.
