Stephan Paryla-Raky (also: Stephan Paryla * 7 July 1948 in Vienna ) is a theater and film actor , singer and reciter .

Live and act

The son of the actor couple Karl Paryla and Hortense Raky and the younger brother of Nikolaus Paryla spent a large part of his school days in the GDR (East Berlin) after attending primary school in Vienna . Back in Vienna he learned foreign languages ​​and dealt with caricature drawing .

Because of a bronchial disease, the doctor advised him to play a wind instrument. He chose the trumpet for his instrument after visiting the Munich Hofbräuhaus with his father .

After studying at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts , he finally got to the theater and was seen in the Vienna Volkstheater and the Theater in der Josefstadt, among others. He received his acting training from his parents, as well as from Dorothea Neff and Eva Zilcher .

Numerous appearances in film and television followed, due to his talent for languages, also in foreign-speaking countries. Further theater engagements took him to Hamburg, Graz and Zurich as well as to the Viennese cabaret Simpl .

As a reciter, Paryla-Raky still holds readings of mostly satirical works by authors such as Anton Kuh or Wilhelm Busch . Some of his recitations have been published on CD or record. At his lecture evenings he often accompanies singing on the guitar himself.
