Stephanie Courtney

Stephanie Courtney (born February 8, 1970 in Stony Point , New York ) is an American actress and comedian . She also works as a voice actress .

Life

Courtney was born the youngest of three children to a history teacher and a singer. In 1992 she graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in English . Actress Jennifer Courtney is one of her older siblings.

Courtney gained notoriety from 2008 through her portrayal of the advertising character Flo of the American insurance company Progressive Corporation in television and radio advertising. She is also known for her recurring roles in several television series and voice actress in animation and cartoon series . Her focus is on comedies .

Courtney was a member of The Groundlings , an improvisational and sketch comedy theater in Los Angeles.
