Stephanie Faracy

Stephanie Faracy (born January 1, 1952 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

The actress made her debut in an episode of the 1976 television series Laverne & Shirley . In the Oscar-winning fantasy comedy Heaven Should Wait (1978), she starred opposite Warren Beatty and Julie Christie . In the drama When You Comin 'Back, Red Ryder? (1979) as well as in the television action comedy Die Glückspilze (1984) she played a bigger role. In the television movie Goldie and the Bears (1984) she took on the title role of Goldie Hawkins . In the comedy Great Outdoors (1988) she played the role of Connie Ripley , the wife of Chet Ripley ( John Candy ).

In the 1990s, appearances in numerous television series - mostly in individual episodes - and television films followed, as well as a supporting role in the comedy Hocus Pocus (1993), in which Faracy was seen alongside Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker . In the television film The Only Way Out (1993) she played one of the bigger roles alongside John Ritter . She also played a bigger role in the television film Silver Lake (2004), which was conceived as a pilot episode of a television series. In the Oscar-winning comedy Sideways (2004), she played the mother of Stephanie ( Sandra Oh ).
