action
Elizabeth Halsey only works four hours a week as a teacher to concentrate on her wedding preparations and plans to quit her teaching job. She finances her luxurious lifestyle from the assets of her fiancé. When the latter ends the relationship at the instigation of his mother, Elizabeth has to resume her job as a teacher. Your goal is to find a rich man again as quickly as possible. Therefore, she is planning a breast augmentation because she believes it will correspond to the current ideal of beauty . Your next destination will be the substitute teacher Scott Delacorte, who comes from a wealthy family. Since his ex-girlfriend also has large breasts, she is encouraged to have an operation. For this engagement, it needs nearly 10,000 dollars . Elizabeth learns from a student that there is a car wash every year and that over $ 6,000 has been made the previous year. The success of the car wash as well as her alcohol and marijuana abuse at school make her a thorn in the side of her dutiful and committed colleague Amy. In the meantime she gets together with Scott, and the situation between the two women escalates more and more. Meanwhile, PE teacher Russell has his eye on Elizabeth. However, she does not want a relationship with him because he is not wealthy enough.
When her friend and colleague Lynn Davies talks about the school bonus that the teacher with the best class average receives in an intermediate exam, she changes her teaching methods, which until then mainly consisted of letting her students watch films, and suddenly becomes involved in the School. By first seducing Carl Halabi, who is responsible for selecting the mid-term exam questions , and then mixing him with an anesthetic in the drink, Elizabeth illegally procures the questions before the exam, so that her class does the best and she wins the school award of $ 5,700. Amy finds out and reports it to the headmaster, but cannot subsequently prove it because Elizabeth uses compromising photos to get Halabi, the main witness, to withdraw his testimony. To improve the chances of a relationship with Scott, Elizabeth seduces him on a school trip for dry sex (sex in full clothing) and sends the background noise over Scott's cell phone to Amy's cell phone.
When Amy tries to convict Elizabeth of drug possession, she fails either; rather, it is even falsely accused of drug possession and is used to Malcolm X - High School , the school in the county, which has the worst reputation , displaced, prompting Scott apparently ended the relationship and Elizabeth asks to start over again from the beginning. She doesn't give him a second chance, however, and after a conversation between gym teacher Russell and Elizabeth, the two kiss each other. The film ends with Elizabeth becoming the new tutor.

Reviews
The press response to Bad Teacher was very mixed. Filmstarts referred to the example of Judd Apatow , director Kasdan's former mentor, and wrote that the film was a “smooth antithesis to the charming and point-safe Comedy d'Apatow: low-inspiration, adolescent and only rarely really funny”, and finally summarized: “Underm On the whole, Bad Teacher is a festival of foulness without a story of integrity, a waste of comedic potential. A satire about the grievances in the American education system will not have been on the program from the start. Instead, Kasdan plays it safe and uses tame general humor to orient himself towards mass taste. ”The British Empire said the comedy was“ cheeky, direct and often very funny ”.
“Cameron Diaz convinces with her brash, carefree charm. [...] What is particularly remarkable is the fact that Jacob Kasdan remains true to his cheeky line from start to finish and spares his antiheroine maudlin statements of purification and pompous arias of reconciliation in the end. This entertaining and irreverent depravity was long overdue since Crazy About Mary was in the movies. Conclusion: Nothing for hardcore romantics; for people who can laugh heartily at crude charm offensives. "
“Crude comedy that is politically incorrect and self-deprecating, but which lacks any satirical thrust. At most, a few well-contoured secondary characters are amusing. "
By July 2014, reviewer Rotten Tomatoes had 45% positive reviews, after evaluating 177 reviews.
