Richard Overton (born August 10, 1954 in Queens , New York City , USA ) is an American actor and screenwriter .

Life

Overton grew up in Englewood , New Jersey. His father was the jazz musician Hall Overton , his mother Nancy (1926-2009) at times a member of the famous singing group The Chordettes .

He had his first film role in 1982 in Kiss Me, Doc . As a result, he had minor roles in other films, including Beverly Hills Cop - I'll definitely solve the case , Willow and Mrs. Doubtfire - The Prickly Nanny . In the by Roland Emmerich produced science fiction - Comedy High Crusade - fricassee in space , he played the lead role. He has also guest-starred on television series such as Remington Steele , A Terribly Kind Family, and Emergency Room .
