Stephen Arthur Jensen (born May 30, 1954 in North Vancouver , British Columbia , Canada ) is the Roman Catholic Bishop of Prince George .

Life

Stephen Jensen received on 24 May in 1980 by the Archbishop of Vancouver , James Francis Carney , the sacrament of Holy Orders . He was active in the pastoral care of the Archdiocese of Vancouver and from 1997 was Episcopal Vicar for education and school issues as well as adult education.

In 2001 he received his PhD in Education from the University of San Francisco . From 2009 he was Vicar General in the Archdiocese of Vancouver.

On January 3, 2013, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the bishop of Prince George. The Archbishop of Vancouver, John Michael Miller CSB , donated him episcopal ordination on April 2, 2013 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Antigonish , Brian Joseph Dunn , and the Bishop of Kamloops , David Monroe . As a motto he chose Parare Vias Eius ( prepare the way for him , Lk 1.76  EU ).
