Life

Steve Bridges has impersonated over 200 personalities, including US television greats like Tom Brokaw , Paul Harvey and Rush Limbaugh . He became particularly well known as a parodist of the last three US presidents Bill Clinton , George W. Bush , Barack Obama and actor and governor Arnold Schwarzenegger . He not only imitated the voice, motor skills and gestures of the parodied people. Among other things, he hired the Oscar-winning make- up artist Kevin Haney ( Miss Daisy and her chauffeur ) to transform himself into a doppelganger with astonishing resemblance.

After George W. Bush's re-election in 2004, he appeared on Jay Leno's Tonight Show and gave an interview as the newly-elected president.

In 2006, he appeared alongside the real acting George W. Bush at the traditional White House Correspondents' Dinner . During Bush's speech, he expressed his "real thoughts" in front of the audience.

Bridges was found dead by his domestic servant in his Los Angeles home on March 3, 2012 after he had not answered the phone the day before. According to his management, he had recently returned from a gig in Hong Kong and had complained of exceptional fatigue, a "super jetlag ". Anaphylactic shock was diagnosed as the official cause of death .
