Steve McEwan is a British pop music composer and musician best known for his hit compositions for Eminem , Miriam Makeba , James Blunt and James Morrison .

Steve McEwan spent seven years of his childhood in South Africa. He was 17 years old when Miriam Makeba recorded and released his song "I Still Long for You". McEwan returned to London and became a member of the band World Party , followed by a year-long world tour. He then signed his own record deal with Arista .

Steve McEwan's compositions have since been recorded by Miriam Makeba , James Morrison , James Blunt , Eminem , Roger Daltrey and David Archuleta , among others .
