Stockholm Prize in Criminology

The Stockholm Prize in Criminology is an international award for outstanding achievements in the field of criminological research or the practical application of research results for crime prevention and the protection of human rights . Under the auspices of the Justitiedepartementet ( Ministry of Justice of Sweden), a criminological conference has been held at Stockholm University since 2006 at the same time as the annual award ceremony, at which the winners' work areas are presented and discussed.

The prize for is endowed with one million Swedish kronor. This corresponds to an amount of around 86,000 euros.
