Stork is the smallest district of the municipality of Flieden in the south of the eastern Hessian district of Fulda . The scattered settlement is made up of Unterstork, Oberstork and Storker Hof. Stork lies on the Hessian ridge , the connecting ridge between the Rhön and Vogelsberg . The place borders in the northeast on Magdlos , in the southeast on Höf and Haid , in the south Wallroth and in the west on Hintersteinau .

On April 1, 1972, Stork was incorporated into the municipality of Flieden. In the town council are the CDU and the civil list Stork (BLS) represented. In the local elections in 2011, the CDU again obtained a majority of the votes and thus has a majority in the local advisory board. Martina Krebs (CDU) is the head of the village.
