Straßenhaus is a district of the Haundorf community in the Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia . The wilderness has 5 inhabitants (as of 1987) and is at an altitude of 417 meters above sea level .

The desert is about eight kilometers northeast of the city of Gunzenhausen directly on the federal highway 466 , at the confluence of the district road WUG 22 to Seitersdorf . The Erlbach , a tributary of the Franconian Rezat , flows past to the east. Not far is the town of Straßenwirthshaus , to the north is Obererlbach . The Mittelberg rises to the west .

Straßenhaus belonged to Haundorf even before the regional reform in Bavaria in the 1970s.
