Sucho-Danietz , Polish Suchodaniec , is a village in Upper Silesia in the municipality of Stubendorf (Izbicko) in the powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship .

history

In 1202 the place belonged to Steinau Castle. In 1243, Duke Mesko II confirmed the possession of the Villa Coloni to the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher. 1302 the place was mentioned as "Sughiganetz".

When French troops besieged the Neisse fortress in 1806/07 and advanced to Cosel after its fall, soldiers were billeted in the village. In 1813 a squadron of Cossacks took up quarters.

In the referendum on March 20, 1921, 84 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 95 for Poland. Sucho-Danietz remained with the German Empire. On 30 January 1934, the place was in dryland renamed . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Groß Strehlitz .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration, was renamed Suchodaniec and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 Sucho-Danietz came to the re-founded Powiat Strzelecki .

On March 6, 2006 , German was introduced as the second official language in the community of Stubendorf , to which Sucho-Danietz belongs. On May 20, 2008, the place was also given the official German place name Sucho-Danietz . In December 2008 the bilingual place-name signs were put up.
