The city is connected by a country road with Yeşilyurt and the provincial capital in the east, in the west with Kadışehri in the province of Yozgat. Sulusaray is located on the site of the ancient city of Sebastopolis . The only relic visible on site is an arch of a Roman bridge, fragments and inscriptions are exhibited in an open-air museum.
