Super League (Europe) 2008/09

The Super League 2008/09 was the 16th season of the Super League in table tennis . It lasted from September 2008 to March 2009.

For the men, 16 teams started, four each from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, three from Slovenia, two each from Austria and Hungary and one from Croatia. Four groups of four played a sequence in a round trip. The first and second teams from these groups then fought for places one to eight in a play-off system. The remaining teams played from places 9 to 16 in the play-off process.

Twelve teams were registered for the women, four from Austria, three from Slovakia, two each from the Czech Republic and Hungary and one from Croatia. Slovenia was not represented. In three groups of four, a round trip was played in the mode everyone against everyone. Then the first and second of these groups played for places 1 to 6, the rest for places 7 to 12.

Each team provided two doubles and four singles. There were two doubles and eight singles, which were carried out according to the federal system . A competition is abandoned when a team has reached six points.
