The Surb is a 20 kilometer long stream in the Swiss cantons of Zurich and Aargau . It rises below the Hochwacht, the highest elevation of the Lägern ridge , at an altitude of 471 m above sea level. M. in the area of ​​the Zurich community Schöfflisdorf .

The Surb drains the Zurich Wehntal north of the Lägern west of the watershed near Sünikon with the communities Schöfflisdorf, Oberweningen and Niederweningen and the subsequent Aargau Surbtal in a westerly direction. In this the stream first flows north past Ehrendingen and then turns to the north-west. The Surb then passes the villages of Lengnau , Endingen , Unterendingen and Tegerfelden . It flows between Lengnau and Endingen near the Jewish cemetery in Endingen . In addition to the town center of Dottingen and above the reservoir of Klingnau the river flows into the Aar .
