Surd ( Croatian Sur , Slovenian Surd ) is a Hungarian community in the district Nagykanizsa in Zala county .
Geographical location
Surd is about 15 kilometers south of the town of Nagykanizsa on the small river Surdi-patak . Neighboring communities within six kilometers are Nemespátró, Somogybükkösd, Belezna , Zákányfalu and Őrtilos . Surd is the southernmost municipality in Zala County.

Arboretum , park and lake
- In addition to red oak and spruce, a large number of fir species can be seen in the arboretum . The plane tree avenue is more than 100 years old. The largest trees include a pedunculate oak and a plane tree, which have a trunk circumference of over five meters.

Road no. 6804 leads through Surd, from which the secondary road no. 68138 branches off in the center of the village in an easterly direction towards Nemespátró. The nearest train station is in Nagykanizsa.
