The synagogue in Eubigheim , a district of the Ahorn community in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg, was established in 1850 and is still used today as a residential building. It is located at Meisenstrasse 3 .

history

Before the synagogue was set up , services were held in private houses until the lower floor of Isak Löb's house was bought on September 16, 1826 for 121 guilders and set up as a "Jewish school". In 1850 a synagogue was established in the house. The building was sold to a farmer on July 28, 1938 and was able to escape destruction. The cult objects from the synagogue were brought to Bödigheim . The synagogue is still used today for residential purposes. Only a foundation stone from 1850 remains with the inscription "JG" (for Jewish community).

architecture

The prayer room was to the left of the entrance with a women's gallery on the first floor. There was a ritual bath in the basement. The plunge pool, to which four steps lead down, has been preserved to the present day.
