Synagogue (Unterschüpf)
The former synagogue in Unterschüpf , a district of Boxberg in the Main-Tauber district , existed until the 19th century.
history
The synagogue was located at Unterschüpfer Straße 62 . The year of construction of the synagogue is not known. After the Jewish community in Unterschüpf was dissolved, the synagogue was sold. Since 1882, after a renovation, it has been preserved as a barn. Before the last Jews left Unterschüpf, there were plans to build a new synagogue. Funds have already been donated for these. But due to the sharp decrease in the number of members of the Jewish community, the plans for the new building were not carried out.
