Synagogue (Dittigheim)
The synagogue in Dittigheim , a district of Tauberbischofsheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg , was built around 1769. The derelict synagogue at Synagogengasse 4 has been a protected cultural monument since 1979 .
When most of the Jewish residents had already emigrated in the 1870s and the minyan required for worship no longer came about, the synagogue was closed. Since then, the Jews living in Dittigheim have visited the synagogue in Tauberbischofsheim .
In February 1881 the synagogue building was sold. A colored wedding stone is a reminder of the building's past.
