The former synagogue of the Jewish community of Angeltürn , a district of Boxberg in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg , was built in 1860 and existed until 1913.

history

There had been a synagogue in Angeltürn since the beginning of the 19th century , which was in a dilapidated state around 1850. For this reason, the new synagogue was built at Steinstrasse 1 in 1860 . However, due to the dwindling Jewish population of the district, it was no longer used regularly before 1900. Finally, the property on which the synagogue was located was auctioned in 1923 and from then on it was used as a barn and stable. In 1980 the barn was completely demolished and replaced by a new barn building.
