Systematics of minerals according to Dana / carbonates, nitrates, borates

The carbonates, nitrates, borates in the Dana system of minerals include class V of this system. According to the new Dana classification, the class passes 

  • for the carbonates from subclasses 13 (carbonates), 14 (anhydrous carbonates), 15 (hydrated carbonates), 16 (carbonates - hydroxyl or halogen) and 17 (carbonates with different formulas)
  • for the nitrates (and iodates) from subclasses 18 (simple nitrates), 19 (nitrates with hydroxyl or halide ions), 20 (composite nitrates with other anions), 21 (iodates - anhydrous and hydrated), 22 (iodates - hydroxyl or Halogen) and 23 (composite iodates)
  • for borates, finally, from subclasses 24 (anhydrous borates), 25 (anhydrous borates with hydroxyl or halogens), 26 (hydrated borates with hydroxyl or halogens) and 27 (borates).
