The TSV 1919 Ebersgöns eV is a German sports club based in the Hessian town of Butzbach in Wetteraukreis .

history

Floorball

The floorball team appears in competitions as TSV rabies Ebersgöns . As champions of the Regionalliga Hessen in the 2017/18 season , the club registered for relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga . However, since there was no other team from the North / West region willing to rise, the club was finally allowed to rise without qualifying games. At the end of the first season in the 2nd division, the team finished third in the table with 30 points and thus just missed the playoffs. The same place was achieved after the 2019/20 season , but this placement was due to the premature termination of game operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

In the cup , TSV competed in the 2018/19 season from the second round and prevailed at MFBC Schkeuditz / Leipzig with 5: 9. In the third round, however, after an 8: 4 at VfL Red Hocks Kaufering, it was finally over. In the 2019/20 season, however , SC DHfK Leipzig failed 9: 7 in the second round .

Handball

The handball department, together with TSV Niederkleen and TSV Oberkleen, has formed the HSG Kleenheim-Langgöns since 1988 . Their first women's team is currently in the 3rd division .
