TV direkt is a fortnightly program magazine that has been published since 1998 by Gong Verlag, which belongs to the Funke media group (formerly WAZ media group).

According to their own statements, the target group is a “young, dynamic readership with a higher proportion of men”. The age of the target group is between 14 and 49 years. The average age of the readership is 43.6 years, of which 52% are men and 48% women. The focus of the TV magazine is on feature films . The feature film highlights are rated by the company's own program editorial team and presented as a daily “top tip”. The main part deals with cinema, DVD, internet, travel, lifestyle, fitness and finance.

TV direkt is in competition with tv14 in the area of ​​low-price program guides . The current edition is 843,200 copies. Of these, 1,039,357 are sold in newsagents and 106,556 by subscription (status: IVW 3/2012).

The magazine is also offered with a DVD insert at a higher price. However, the TV directly with DVD only appears at irregular intervals.
