Tamás Pozsgai ( Hungarian Pozsgai Tamás ; born July 26, 1988 in Dunaújváros ) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with MAC Budapest in the MOL league since 2015 .

Career

Tamás Pozsgai began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in his hometown, for whom he made his debut in the Hungarian ice hockey league at the age of 18 and later also stood on the ice in the MOL league . In 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012 he won the Hungarian Cup with the club . After he won the MOL league with the team in 2012, he moved to Alba Volán Székesfehérvár . He played two years in the Austrian ice hockey league with the club from Central Transdanubia . In 2014 he returned to Dunaújváros and is back in the MOL league for his home club. In 2015 he joined the league competitor MAC Budapest , for whom he has played since then. In 2018 he won the MOL league with MAC and was also Hungarian champion .

International

For Hungary Pozsgai took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships in 2005 in Division II and 2006 in Division I as well as in the U20 World Championships in 2007 in Division II and in 2008 in Division I.

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 and 2018 . He also represented his colors in the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018 .
